Why Blanco Agave?
Tequila’s a special place in Mexico, and much like Champagne in France, they like to protect their namesake. In order to be classified a Tequila, one must source all of their agave from Tequila and be above a fairly punchy ABV. We do actually source our agave from Tequila but we wanted something more sessionable, so we created our Quarter Blanco Agave at 12% ABV.
-
Production Method
After sourcing our blue agave from Tequila, Mexico we ferment it in-house with our carefully crafted strain of yeast. This creates a mosto (wash) which we then copper pot distill. Finally, we blend this distillate, along with some selected botanicals to create our unique Quarter Blanco Agave Spirit.
-
Botanicals
We like to let the liquid speak for itself so keep it fairly simple. Mexican blue agave, black Sarawak pepper and orange habanero.
-
Nose
Do you remember that first time you smelt Tequila? Our Blanco Agave Spirit has that recognisable grassy tang but with a hint of citrus.
-
Flavour
An initial smack of alcohol leaves you with a nice slow finish of grass, citrus and a little bit of spice.
-
Mouthfeel
Prepare to be amazed! You’ll be double checking the packaging to see if you’ve accidentally ordered the strong stuff.
